The Ultimate ‘What Comes Next?’ Experience
This workshop is based on Keith Johnstone’s classic exercise, ‘What Comes Next?’.
In it we’ll learn how the exercise works, its different variations, and how this simple exercise can help us become more in tune with our partners, as well as with ourselves. We’ll also explore how to listen to and inspire our partners, how we can use Impro to seduce and hypnotize an audience, and how in those moments of ultimate stress, all we have to ask is, ‘What comes next?’

Jim, originally from Maine, USA, now calls Vienna, Austria home. For over 30 years he’s built a stellar reputation as a performer, director, and artistic consultant. He’s graced many of Europe’s top theatres, worked in TV and film, and lent his voice to several award-winning productions. In the world of improvisational theatre, Jim is highly sought after. He co-founded the English Lovers, toured the world with Rocket Sugar Factory, and has taught thousands of actors, directors, dancers, musicians, and just plain people…
Jim co-created the first fully improvised performance piece for a German state theatre, as well as the first fully improvised BBC radio drama, A Time to Dance, which was nominated for a Sony Academy Award. He also co-directed Austria's first fully improvised feature film, Another One Opens, now on Amazon. Currently, Jim is the artistic director of Moment!, Vienna’s International Festival for Improvised Theatre, happening this October.
